MSN Cinema Hall

The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw has been equipped with advanced cinema technology, offering exceptional projection quality in both image and sound. The cinema signal is delivered from a 2K/4K cinema server compliant with DCI standards, and the image is projected by a state-of-the-art projector housed in the projection booth, ensuring the highest visual quality.

Sound in the cinema hall is delivered through a versatile MeyerSound audio system, which includes front speakers (left, centre, right), subwoofers located behind a perforated screen, and surround speakers that enrich the projection with extra layers of spatial audio. The sound is calibrated to the Dolby curve, and the inclusion of height channels and three-dimensional audio increases the realism of the experience. The audio system is designed to meet strict cinematic requirements, ensuring unmatched sound quality.

A digital audio processor compliant with CDI handles digital signal decoding. For presentations and other applications, wireless microphones are also available, enabling sound transmission from anywhere in the hall, along with wired microphones connected via sockets in three floor boxes installed beneath the screen. For those wishing to expand the projection system, there is also the option to connect 16mm and 32mm projectors.

The entire cinema system is operated using a wireless tablet, which controls the zoned layout, sound source selection, volume adjustment, and screen masking positions. The tablet also enables selection between five different projection formats (16:9, 16:10, 2.39:1, 4:3) and completely covering the screen with curtains.

The cinema is also equipped with an induction loop – a system supporting hearing-impaired individuals by enhancing the quality of sound received through hearing aids and cochlear implants. The induction loop eliminates echo and noise in larger spaces, significantly improving speech intelligibility and listening comfort for people with hearing difficulties.

Thanks to these advanced solutions, the cinema at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw provides an unparalleled audio-visual experience that meets the highest technological standards.
